Locate the line that says: innodbforcerecovery 0 and change it to innodbforcerecovery 1. may be running by setting the default ports of Apache to 8888 and MySQL to 8889. #Mamp not starting mysql upgrade
The server should start and you should be able to perform a database upgrade via the MAMP PRO main menu Tools > Upgrade MySQL Databases. Now the MAMP should start the MySql server without errors. Why MAMP MySQL server not starting If MySQL still refuses to start check the log file for error messages. I've tried other reccomendations on other threads with same issue, but no luck. Launch MAMP and click the Start Serversbutton.
